LANSING, Ill. (December 18, 2017) – Head Coach Jordan Martin shared the following information about her cheerleading team’s recent accomplishment:

  • The competition was at Oswego East High School.
  • We took first place out of six coed teams.
  • It was our second competition of the season. Our first competition was at Andrew High School, where we took fourth place out of eight teams.
  • This was the first “first place” awarded to TFS Cheer in over five years.
  • We have a fairly young team; most of the kids have never competed before.

The TF South Competitive Coed Cheerleading Team is fairly young, without much competition experience.
Coach Martin said the team’s next competition will be at Oak Forest High School on Sunday, January 14. She added, “We’re now working on adding difficulty to our routine to prepare for sectionals on January 27, where we hope to be the first TF South cheerleading team to go to IHSA State.”

Thornton Fractional South High School is located at 18500 Burnham Avenue in Lansing.
