LANSING, Ill. (March 9, 2018) – On February 22, the fifth-grade girls basketball teams from Reavis and Coolidge Elementary Schools faced off in a winner-take-all last game of the season. The Reavis team defeated Coolidge to claim First Place in Lansing School District #158. It was the first time since 2014 the Reavis girls had won the title. In fact, until this year, the Coolidge girls had claimed first place each year since 2014.
The Reavis team is coached by Mr. Cieplucha and Mr. Mansker. The Reavis players were Daniela Gutierrez, Nikya Lee, Jamirah Lucas, Dulce Gonzalez, Pari Patel, Jada Sampson, Ariyanna Smith, Khia Wilson, Damaia Love, Demaria Anderson, and Jahaliyah Vance.
