LANSING, Ill. (June 27, 2018) – The price for vehicle stickers will double on July 1, so the Village of Lansing is encouraging vehicle owners to purchase their stickers June 28, 29, and 30. Village officials are anticipating that the line at Village Hall will be longest on Saturday, June 30, and they have added staff to accommodate as many residents as possible. Residents who are able to visit Village Hall during Thursday or Friday business hours are encouraged to do so in order to minimize wait times.

Hours on Thursday and Friday are 9:00am–5:00pm. Saturday hours are 9:00am–noon.

A vehicle sticker for a standard passenger vehicle costs $45.00. On Monday, the price will be $90.00.

All vehicles in the Village of Lansing are required to have a vehicle sticker displayed at all times. Stickers must be displayed on any motor vehicle operated by a Lansing resident on a public street or highway within the Village. Stickers also must be displayed on any motor vehicle that is not in use but is kept or stored within the Village. Leased and company-owned vehicles also are required to have vehicle stickers.

According to Village ordinance, the fine for operating a vehicle without having a vehicle sticker shall be not less than $100.00.

Village Hall (also known as the Lansing Municipal Center) is located at 3141 Ridge Road.
