Obituary: Helen Moeller

December 26, 1925 – September 23, 2018

Helen Moeller (nee Nazimek), age 92 of Cedar Lake, IN, formerly of Lansing, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018. She is survived by her four children: Judith (Griff) Froman, Raymond Jr. (Linda) Moeller, Christine Moeller, and Alice (Bill) Shupryt. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Jennifer (John) Zann, Ray III (Michelle) Moeller, Bernie (Anca) Froman, Kimberley (Jeremy) Drake, Jason (Julie) Shupryt, Katie (Christopher) Martin, and Stephanie (Paul) Sciutto; and 11 great grandchildren. In 2000, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years: Raymond Sr. and five siblings.

Friends are invited to visit with Helen’s family on Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 28, beginning with Closing Prayers at 10:00 AM at the funeral home and proceeding to St. Ann Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL, for a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband in Oak Glen Cemetery in Lansing.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Helen’s name to Harbor Light Hospice, 1N131 County Farm Rd., Winfield, IL, 60190, or Indiana Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st St. #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.

Helen was a former member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and rug making. But above all, Helen loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be missed.
