Village asks for Fox Pointe feedback

First event provides real-life test drive

by Melanie Jongsma

LANSING, Ill. (October 6, 2018) – Sunday, October 7, will provide the last opportunity for people to be among the thousands who experienced the very first event—Autumn Fest 2018—at Lansing’s new entertainment venue, Fox Pointe. “Many more events are to come, but this will always be the first one,” said Ken Reynolds, Lansing’s Director of Communications.

This year’s Fest was a collaborative effort between the Village and LACE, the Lansing Association for Community Events. Village officials and LACE representatives received overwhelmingly positive comments from Autumn Fest attenders. “Even when there were complaints,” said Trustee Maureen Grady-Perovich, “people were very gracious about it. They just wanted to make us aware of issues that needed to be addressed.”

Issues such as the decorative footlights along the sidewalk near the pavilion, which turned out to be a potential tripping hazard; or the lack of a waste paper basket near the sinks in the women’s bathroom—those are areas where improvements can be made in order to enhance the Fox Pointe experience for future event attenders.

The Lansing Journal has agreed to help collect feedback and share it with Village officials. By using the form below, interested citizens will be sending their comments and ideas directly to The Lansing Journal. We will compile it an organize it into categories, and then share it with Village officials.

You can use the form anonymously if you prefer.

  1. I love the look of Fox Pointe. The only change that I saw that should be addressed is the size of the sign above the stage. It was way too small.
