Obituary: Keith Ole Sivertson

February 20, 1930 – October 13, 2018

Keith Ole Sivertson, age 88 of Lansing, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018. He was born on February 20, 1930, to Hazel and Ole Sivertson. He graduated from Ludington High School in Ludington, MI, and moved to Chicago, where he worked for U.S. Steel from April 1949 until he retired in January 1988. Keith honorably served our country in the U.S. Army, where he was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War.

On February 16, 1952, Keith married Nancy Lee Kiefer and had five children: Meachelle, Eric, Kathy, Tina, and Kevin. Keith is survived by four of his children along with 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Keith was an avid pistol shooter from 1958 until his death. He retired from Tri-County Pistol League in 2015. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, the Illinois State Rifle Association, the American Motorcycle Association, and the Law Enforcement Alliance of America. Also an avid motorcyclist, Keith belonged to the Chicago BMW Motorcycle Club for 20 years and attended many rallies around the country

On January 20, 1988, Keith married the love of his life, Debra Lee Wilson. Together they walked hand in hand until his death, “But I’ll be waiting in Heaven. If I’m not in Heaven, know Debbie will be there as she was an angel here taking excellent care of me. I’ll love Debbie forever!”

Keith will be laid to rest near his parents in Lake View Cemetery on the shores of Lake Michigan in Ludington, Michigan. Please omit flowers.
