LYNWOOD, Ill. (November 12, 2018) – The family of Heath Poortenga is organizing a Fundraiser Craft and Vendor Fair the proceeds of which will help provide living expenses for Poortenga’s three children. Poortenga, 47, suffered a massive brain stroke on August 7 this year and is still hospitalized. Poortenga’s wife passed away in 2015. Since his stroke, the children have been separated and cared for in different homes, and the family would like to see them together again.
The Craft and Vendor Fair will be hosted at Sandridge School Gymnasium, and will include a variety of vendors, crafters, baked goods, concessions, and raffles.
