Homewood Chevy encourages nominees for 2018 Chevy Sonic giveaway

Entry deadline: December 17

by Katie Arvia

HOMEWOOD, Ill. (November 29, 2018) – For the past three years, Chevrolet of Homewood has given away a brand-new Chevrolet vehicle to a deserving winner. This year that tradition continues—on December 24, one lucky winner will drive away in a 2018 Chevrolet Sonic.

Anyone who is in need or deserving of a new car is encouraged to enter. Those interested in the giveaway should prepare a 200-word essay explaining how a new car would change their life. Essays can be submitted online at HomewoodChevyCares.com or can be mailed to Chevrolet of Homewood at 18033 S. Halsted Street, Homewood, Illinois 60430. Those writing essays can write about themselves or nominate another deserving person.

No purchase is necessary to be considered. It is also not necessary to be a past customer, and no credit check will be performed. The Homewood Chevy Cares program was created with the intention of giving back to the community without expecting anything in return.

During the week of December 18, the team at Chevrolet of Homewood, with the help of the Village of Homewood, will cast their votes and select three finalists. The top three finalists will be notified and will be asked to submit a two- to three-minute follow-up video explaining why a new car would change their life. The grand prize winner will be chosen by December 22, and the new Sonic will be gifted on Christmas Eve, December 24.

Whether or not people decide to enter the giveaway themselves, Homewood Chevy is hoping the community will help spread the word about the opportunity. Sharing links on social media is an easy way to get the word out. Visit Chevrolet of Homewood’s Facebook page (facebook.com/homewoodchevy) to see posts, videos, and additional information.

Chevrolet of Homewood is located at 18033 S. Halsted Street in Homewood, Illinois.
