De’Kwan Turner
LANSING, Ill. (November 30, 2018) – Senior De’Kwan Turner plays basketball for the TF South varsity team.

What attracted you to play basketball?

My dad played, and he is a big influence on me.

What is your favorite moment while playing basketball at TF South?

Playing against my old high school (TF North) and beating them.

What are your goals for basketball this year?

My goals for the team are to win regionals and state.

What is your favorite subject and teacher and why?

My favorite subject is math, taught by Mrs. Tovey. Her teaching style really helps me understand how to use the math.

Each month the TF South coaching staff choose to spotlight a male and female athlete whose performance on and off the field is notable. Students are nominated based on how they have helped their teams and the strength of their academic average that allows them to participate in sports.
