LANSING, Ill. (December 1, 2017) – Omigod, you guys! TF South’s Rebel Players’ production of Legally Blonde the Musical is almost here! Legally Blonde fans, are you psyched, or what?! If ever a musical was perfectly cast, this one qualifies! Lead character Elle Woods—perkily played by sophomore Natalie Dominiak—has some dreams to make come true!

Based on Amanda Brown’s novel and the 2001 hit movie of the same title, Legally Blonde the Musical chronicles the exploits of bubbly blonde and fashion-forward Elle Wood as she sacrifices her UCLA sorority party lifestyle and applies to Harvard Law School in an all-out effort to win back ex-boyfriend Warner Huntington III—played by sophomore Brian Valentine—and prove to him that she is serious marriage material.

TF South Drama Director Ann Wolpert and Musical Director Samantha Elliott are thrilled with their cast, crew, and Boosters. According to Wolpert, students “came in droves” to auditions, which were “so much fun because—omigod—they’re all good!” Over 50% of the cast members are on stage for the first time, which forecasts ongoing success for TF South’s popular drama program.

Opening night is Thursday, December 6, at 7:00pm at TF South’s Dr. Henry L. Hertz Auditorium. Evening performances continue Friday and Saturday, December 7 and 8 at 7:00pm. The show closes with a Sunday matinee on December 9 at 2:00pm.
