by Melanie Jongsma

LANSING, Ill. (December 9, 2018) – A single gunshot was heard around 7:00am Sunday as two Lansing police officers ended the suffering of a deer that had been hit by a car on 186th Street. Once confirmed dead, the animal was dragged to the south side of the road and left at the edge of the forest preserve. The officers put in an order for Lansing Public Works to pick up the carcass Monday morning.
