  1. First United Methodist Church of Lansing, 18420 Burnham Avenue, next to T.F. South High School in Lansing will be holding an old-fashioned ice cream social “Vets R Kool” on Saturday November 11 to honor our veterans. American Legion commander Don Lange will share a few comments. From 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. ice cream will be available for twenty-five cents a scoop. Hot dogs (including a bun) will cost a quarter. Drinks, both hot and cold, will be available for a dime. Admission and parking are free. Come for a snack at old-time prices and help honor our nation’s veterans.
