LANSING, Ill. December 13, 2017) – Thornton Fractional South High School has received a $1,000 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program, in conjunction with Ridgeway Petroleum of Lansing, Illinois, to support the school’s Science Department.

A representative of Lansing Mobil Services worked with school officials to secure the grant, which is one of 4,000 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations.

The grants were made possible by funding from the ExxonMobil Foundation. “We are proud to be a part of the efforts by T. F. South High School to continue to provide outstanding educational opportunities to the young people of Lansing,” the representative said. “As a Mobile retailer, I am committed to giving back to the community that has helped me build my business.”

The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools. ExxonMobil believes that, as members of the community, local retailers are best qualified to work with local educators to help identify schools and programs most in need of their support.

T. F. South High School is located at 18500 Burnham Avenue in Lansing, Illinois.
