Hector Caballero
LANSING, Ill. (March 7, 2018) – Hector Caballero is a little nervous about the prospect of being on TV, but he’s excited too. In an episode of American Pickers titled “Slam Dunk Junk,” hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz visit the warehouse owned by Caballero’s business, Junk Vets. The episode description says, “Mike and Frank find a massive warehouse in Chicago [aka, Lansing] filled with castoff treasures, including some superstar sports memorabilia that are a total slam dunk.”

Caballero is a veteran, and he describes Junk Vets as “a veteran-owned junk removal company; we pride ourselves in giving back to the community we service and offer special discounts to active military, veterans, and seniors.” The company provides a cost-efficient and convenient alternative to dumpster rentals. Their Facebook page posts photos of some of their clean-up adventures.

Most of the junk his workers remove is actual junk, but occasionally there are some treasures in the trash. The American Pickers series is all about finding such treasures.

Tune in to the History Channel on Monday, March 12, to see what Mike and Frank find in the Junk Vets warehouse.
