LANSING, Ill. (May 20, 2018) – The Lansing Veterans Memorial Ceremonial Honor Guard will honor our community’s and nation’s deceased veterans at a ceremony on May 27 at the Lansing Veteran’s Memorial. The Memorial is located at the southeast corner of Burnham Avenue and Glenwood-Lansing Road in Lansing.

Participating veterans organizations and families will place wreaths to remember our community’s deceased servicemen. The service will also include an invocation, a rifle salute, and Taps.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their deceased veterans’ folded casket flags; there will be a special recognition during the ceremony.

The annual Memorial Day service is dedicated to servicemen who died during our nation’s wars to protect and preserve our country, as well as those who served and are now deceased.
