Lan-Oak Lanes movie finally premiering

When Jeff Tried to Save the World comes to Chicago December 5 and 6

CHICAGO, Ill. (November 12, 2018) – It was “the retro feel” that drew filmmakers to Lan-Oak Lanes in August of 2017 to film a movie. The indie film “When Jeff Tried to Save the World” stars Jon Heder, of Napoleon Dynamite fame. And Jim O’Heir, of the television series Parks and Recreation, plays a supporting role. Director Kendall Goldberg is a Munster native.

Before it’s officially released, the film will premiere in Chicago for two nights at the Music Box Theater:

  • Wednesday, December 5
    • 7:15pm – Doors Open
    • 8:15pm – Screening Starts, Q&A to follow (Cast/Crew In Attendance)
  • Thursday, December 6
    • 8:45pm – Doors Open
    • 9:45pm – Screening Starts, Q&A to follow (Cast/Crew In Attendance)

  1. Can’t wait to see it!! I can’t get to the Music Box but perhaps it will be circulated as a DVD that the Library can rent out to us FANS!!!! Such great exposure for our town!!!
