CHICAGO, Ill. (December 9, 2018) – “It was awesome,” said bowler Jim Grutzius about When Jeff Tried to Save the World, the new indie movie starring Lan-Oak Lanes. Grutzius and members of his bowling team, who are regulars at Lan-Oak Lanes, attended the Chicago premiere of the movie at Chicago’s Music Box Theater.
Dale Genovese, owner of Lan-Oak Lanes, was there as well, and on behalf of the bowling alley he agreed to a photo with fellow celebrity Jon Heder (of Napoleon Dynamite fame).
To view more photos of Team Grutzius at the Chicago premiere—including shots of both Dale Genovese and Lan-Oak Lanes listed in the credits—visit Angela Albrecht’s Facebook album.
Lan-Oak Lanes is located at 2524 Ridge Road in Lansing, Illinois. In spite of the recent attention from Hollywood and the media, the bowling alley is still very approachable and welcoming.
