Annual competition begins February 21

LANSING, Ill. (February 6, 2019) – Lansing’s Roundball Classic returns to Memorial Junior High later this month, offering fifth-graders an opportunity to compete in front of enthusiastic crowds while also helping to raise funds and awareness for various Lansing charitable causes.
The series begins on Thursday, February 21, at 6:00pm.
Friday, February 22, games are scheduled at 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00pm.
On Saturday, February 23, teams play at 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, and 3:00pm.
And on Tuesday, February 26, the Championship Ceremony takes place at 6:30pm, followed by the championship game at 7:00pm.
Since its inception 10 years ago, the Roundball Classic has been more than a basketball series. The schools also compete to collect food donations for the Lansing Food Pantry, and local businesses provide sponsorships and donations.
