LANSING, Ill. (February 22, 2019) – LARC’s Annual Appreciation Dinner typically draws more than 300 guests. This year’s event, scheduled for Friday, April 26, 6:00pm, will feature dinner, complimentary cocktails, music, dancing, raffles, and a silent auction, all at the Serbian Social Center (18550 Stony Island Avenue, Lansing).

As a new feature at the traditional gathering, James and Sons Fine Jewelry has donated a $1,500 half-carat diamond for the Diamond Raffle. Diamond Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance, and the winner need not be present.

Friends of LARC can attend the event, sponsor an ad in the program book, donate to the silent auction, or purchase Diamond Raffle tickets. Event tickets are $55 each or $400 for a table of eight. Diamond Raffle tickets are $10 each. Ad sizes range from business card to full page, and range in price from $50 to $500. Popular gift items for the silent auction include wine, coffee or movie baskets, gift cards, spa packages, sports memorabilia, gift certificates, sporting event or theatre tickets, autographed items, and jewelry.

All proceeds will support more than 100 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in programs that promote job training and employment, daily life skills enrichment, senior care, 24-hour residential services, and special recreation.

“The Annual Appreciation Dinner is a huge part of our fundraising efforts, and it’s always a fantastic time,” said Ernie Gonzalez, Executive Director. “We’re very grateful for those individuals and businesses in our community who support this event and help LARC to promote quality, dignity, and choice for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
