RIVERDALE, Ill. (March 9, 2019) – Thornton Township and One Light Self Defense are partnering to offer a class for women throughout Thornton Township: Empowerment through Self Defense.
The class will be held at 14323 S. Halsted in Riverdale, Illinois. Participants will learn simple and proven techniques for:
- increased awareness of surroundings
- crime prevention
- practical self defense
- escaping if apprehended
- using your body as a weapon
The class is free, though donations will be accepted for victims of sex trafficking. Space is limited to 40 participants, and pre-registration is required:
