LANSING, Ill. (March 18, 2019) – St. Ann School will be celebrating all things Seuss in honor of the Dr. Seuss’s 115th birthday. The Family Reading Night and Open House scheduled for March 21 will involve local celebrities reading to kids by grade level: PreK-2nd, 3rd-5th, and 6th-8th. Seuss-inspired snacks will be served—including green eggs—and guests are invited to tour the school and meet the staff.

Leading up to the Family Reading Night, St. Ann students will have a Dress Differently Week, with a Seuss theme for each day:

  • Cat in the Hat Day (wacky hats)
  • Fox in Socks Day (silly socks)
  • Dress as Your Favorite Character Day
  • Oh the Places You’ll Go Day (high school/college/destination shirts)
  • Green Eggs and Clothes Day (wear green)

“Family Reading Night is open to all,” says St. Ann staff member Jennifer Gray, “so bring your friends, relatives, neighbors, teammates, anyone you think may be interested.”

St. Ann School is located at 3014 Ridge Road in Lansing, Illinois. Call 708-895-1661 for more information, or visit www.stannschoollansing.org.
