Accomplishment marked with certificates and cake

LANSING, Ill. (March 23, 2019) – After 10 weeks of two-hour classes, members of the 2019 Citizens Police Academy gathered in the courtroom at Lansing Police headquarters on March 20 to receive their certificates along with words of encouragement from Lt. Scott Bailey, who led the class, and Chief Dennis Murrin.
Deputy Chief Steve Roberts played “Pomp and Circumstance” on his smartphone while Lt. Bailey called the names and Mayor Patty Eidam presented the certificates. The Class of 2019 included:

Following the ceremony, classmates gathered in the atrium for generous servings of graduation cake, coffee, and cola.
