by Melanie Jongsma

LANSING, Ill. (March 28, 2019) – Thornton-Lansing Road was closed for a few hours from Chappel Avenue to Stoney Island Avenue because of a mobile home stuck on the railroad tracks. That’s correct, a mobile home was stuck on the railroad tracks.

At 4:26pm, the Village’s communication system sent an alert from Lansing Police Department letting people know, “Thornton-Lansing Road is now open.”
