“Painted Objects” opens April 27

HIGHLAND, Ind. (April 19, 2019) – Jim Siergey’s art will return to Promise You Art House on April 27 in the aptly named exhibit, “Painted Objects.”
This new exhibit represents a shift in style from Siergey’s previous showing, “nart.” (See What is ‘nart’? You’ll know it when you see it, January article.) The bright colors and patterns suggest a southwestern influence, but Siergey’s sense of irony and observation are distinctive.
Siergey’s work has been profiled in the book Attitude: The New Subversive Political Cartoonist, and his ‘nartoons” now appear regularly in The Lansing Journal.
