LANSING, Ill. (May 19, 2019) – The Lansing Veterans Memorial Ceremonial Honor Guard will honor deceased veterans from the Lansing community and our nation at their traditional Memorial Day ceremony on Sunday, May 26, at 2:00pm. The ceremony will be held at the Lansing Veteran’s Memorial located at the southeast corner of Burnham Avenue and Glenwood-Lansing Road.
The service will include an opportunity for veterans organizations and families to place wreaths memory of deceased servicemen. An invocation, rifle salute, and Taps will also provide opportunities for reflection and commemoration.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their deceased veterans’ casket flag, as they will be recognized during the ceremony.
