Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau welcomes new Communications Manager

LANSING, Ill. (May 25, 2019) – The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau has hired Katie Arvia as their new Communications Manager.

Arvia joins the CSCVB team with several years of writing experience, gained from working as a freelance reporter with The Lansing Journal and serving as the Senior News Editor of her college newspaper, The Xavierite, at Saint Xavier University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree.

In addition to her writing skills, Arvia brings marketing and design skills that will be beneficial to the Bureau’s mission of promoting the Chicago Southland.

“I am looking forward to working with the incredibly talented staff here at the CVB,” Arvia said. “I take great pride in the Chicago Southland, and I am excited to help promote all of the amazing things we have to offer!”

She’s extremely talented, and her enthusiasm and passion to join our team was obvious,” said President/CEO Jim Garrett of the Chicago Southland CVB. “I think Katie will make an excellent employee and will certainly contribute to the long-range objectives of the Bureau.”
