Park Board thanks Pat Gulotta for eight years of service

LANSING, Ill. (June 19, 2019) – “Pat, the Board and the staff of the Lan-Oak Park District would like to recognize your eight years of service,” said John Kelly at the June 17 meeting of the Park Board of Commissioners, “and the dedication you showed the community.” The symbol of that recognition was a handsome plaque presented by Kelly, who had recently served as Board president. The inscription etched in the glass of the plaque reads, “Patrick Gulotta, In recognition of your 8 years of outstanding contribution and service to the Lan-Oak Park District and Lansing community.”

“It’s been a pleasure I will say,” Gulotta responded. And, looking at the plaque, “This is very nice.”

Gulotta was elected to the Park Board in 2013 and was directly involved in the revitalization of Lansing’s parks over the past several years. Though he chose not to run in the 2019 elections in order to give new people an opportunity to serve, he expressed his willingness to stay involved and help out “in any way I can.”

The Board appointed him to the Ethics Committee later that evening.
