Hardy crowd enjoys Hazzard County Band at Fox Pointe

LANSING, Ill. (June 20, 2019) – For the second Wednesday in a row, rain and cool temps affected attendance at Fox Pointe but didn’t dampen the fun. This week’s featured band—the Original Hazzard County Band—was the first non-rock group in the concert series, and several concert-goers donned boots and cowboy hats to get into the spirit of the evening.

The band expressed appreciation for the audience’s support—most of the crowd stayed in the pavilion, where heaters kept the edge off the chill, but they whooped and clapped enthusiastically after each song.

A few Hazzard highlights are compiled in the video below:

The band played until 9:15pm, and a few hardy souls stayed to the very end, even as the June temperatures dipped into the low 50s.

Next Wednesday, June 26, Unity will be at Fox Pointe. They are an award-winning original reggae band playing old roots, rock, and reggae favorites along with original music that blends roots, rock, blues, funk, and reggae. The performance begins at 7:00pm, and food and beverages are available as early as 5:30pm.
