Owner Sheena Lane brings boutique shopping to the suburbs

LANSING, Ill. (July 1, 2019) — Village officials, Chamber members, friends, and family gathered on Ridge Road to celebrate the upcoming opening of The Hanger Boutique with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, July 1.
Owner Sheena Lane cut the ribbon in front of the new clothing store, which is expected to open its doors for customers on Saturday, July 6. The grand opening celebration is scheduled for 1-7 p.m. that day.
Lane, a Beverly resident, chooses all the pieces herself.
“I love fashion,” she said. “There are a lot of boutiques in the city, but I wanted to bring one to the suburbs.”
Lane has friends in the area who said that Lansing would be a good fit.
“As a Chamber — and a Village — we love to see the downtown area grow,” said Amy Todd, executive director of the Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce, which partnered with Lane to host the ribbon-cutting event.
The Hanger is located at 3521 Ridge Road.
