LANSING, Ill. (July 14, 2019) – As reported earlier (July 12 article) a public hearing about the 2020 Village Budget will take place at 6:45pm, just prior to the regular Village Board meeting and the Committee of the Whole meeting. The agendas for all three meetings are posted below:

  • Public Hearing—7/16/19 agenda (PDF)
This public hearing represents Lansing residents’ final opportunity to voice concerns and ask questions about the proposed budget.
  • Village Board—7/16/19 agenda (PDF)
These are items that were discussed at the previous Committee of the Whole meeting and are now up for vote.

  • Committee of the Whole—7/16/19 agenda (PDF)
These are new items brought to the Board for discussion. Prior to the meeting, Board members receive a Board packet that contains documents and background information relevant to the items on this agenda. They review the Board packet in order to be able to discuss the agenda items.

Open invitation

All residents are welcome to attend this public hearing as well as any Committee of the Whole and Village Board meetings. The Board meets at 7:00pm on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at the Police and Court Complex (Lansing Police Department), 2710 170th Street, Lansing.

The Open Meetings Act requires that “An agenda for each regular meeting shall be posted at the principal office of the public body and at the location where the meeting is to be held at least 48 hours in advance of the holding of the meeting.” The Village of Lansing posts agendas and minutes from public meetings in the “Documents” section of their website, and copies are usually emailed to The Lansing Journal as well.
