LANSING, Ill. (July 31, 2019) – Pastor Dave Price is excited to have Joshua Lee and his wife Yoon Hee Lee return to First United Methodist Church of Lansing. The professional classical vocalists have performed at the church before, to the delight of the congregation and visitors.

The Lees live in Mokena, Illinois, now, but they are originally from Busan, South Korea. They return to Korea and elsewhere in Asia several times a year to do missionary work.

Joshua and Yoon Hee Lee will perform classical Christian music at First United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 18, at 5:00pm. Their music company is named Ainos, the Greek word for praise.

The August 18 concert at First United has special meaning. The Lees are dedicating it to American military veterans, especially those who served during the Korean War. The reason? It was from American soldiers that Joshua Lee first heard the Christian gospel, a message that convinced him to follow the teachings of Jesus. The concert is the Lees’ way of saying thank-you.

For that reason, Pastor Price has specifically invited Lansing’s American Legion, and he hopes the broader Lansing community will come as well. Church member Bruce Ross is a Korean War veteran, and Price would like to see others join him at the August 18 performance.

The Lees are bringing with them a Korean dance troupe, so the concert will be a visual production as well as a musical performance.

The performance is free, though guests will have an opportunity to make a donation; the free-will offering that is collected will be divided between the Lees’ global ministry and the local ministries of First United Methodist Church.

A light summer dinner—also free—will follow the concert around 6:15pm.

First United Methodist Church is located at 18420 Burnham Avenue in Lansing, Illinois. For more information about the concert:
