LANSING, Ill. (August 19, 2019) – Improvements in both weather and awareness have favorably impacted attendance at Fox Pointe events since late spring, and Village staff are still exploring opportunities to schedule events into mid-October. The current line-up includes the following events:

Wednesday, August 21, 7:00pm: Spoken Four

Chicago band with DJ-style medleys of cover songs from the 50s to today’s Top 40 hits that get everyone up and dancing

Wednesday, August 28, 7:00pm: Gone 2 Paradise

Tribute band delivering the ultimate Jimmy Buffett “Parrothead” experience

Thursday, September 5, 5:30pm: Bears vs Packers Tailgate Party

In celebration of the 100th season of the National Football League, Fox Pointe will broadcast the opening game of the 2019 season on a 20′ x 12′ video wall with audio from the state-of-the-art Fox Pointe sound system. The Chicago Bears are hosting the Green Bay Packers, and Village officials are working with the TF South and Highland High football teams to arrange for their participation in the event. Concessions and a Kids Zone will open at 5:30pm, with kickoff at 7:20pm.

Saturday, September 21, 5:00pm: LOOP Bike Ride

The Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce invites families to join this year’s Lansing Out On Pedals (LOOP) Bike Ride, which will launch from Fox Pointe at 5:00pm. Lansing police will escort riders through a 15-mile route that includes neighborhoods, businesses, forest preserves, and the taxiway at Lansing Municipal Airport. For more information or to register, visit the Chamber website.
