LANSING, Ill. (September 30, 2019) – Former Lansing resident and first-time author Ed Trevino has made arrangements with the Lan-Oak Park District to hold a book signing at Paws ‘n Play Dog Park. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 11:00am–1:00pm. Paws ‘n Play is located at 17551 Chicago Avenue in Lansing, across from Fine Tune Auto.

Trevino’s book, Skippy’s Rescue, is the true story about a stray puppy who captured the hearts of Ed Trevino and his wife Angelique while they were on vacation on Easter Island. The story relays the tribulations involved in rescuing the puppy, and the logistics involved in bringing a foreign-born companion animal into the United States.

“Looking forward to the book signing in Lansing,” says Trevino. “Skippy loves meeting people!” Trevino visited the dog park in September to have the above photo taken. “It’s a beautiful park,” he says, “and if you haven’t joined yet, do it when you meet Skippy, October 12th!”
