LANSING, Ill. (October 13, 2019) – A free grant program from the Chicagoland Vintage Home Association (CVHA) is available to qualified homes in Lansing. The CVHA administers the ComEd® Energy Efficiency Program, which offers free weatherization services to income-eligible homeowners of vintage homes in Cook County, Illinois. Services may include attic and sidewall insulation, air sealing, health and safety measures, and installation of energy-saving products.
This is a pilot program that is currently limited to lower-income residents of vintage, owner-occupied homes with ComEd service in Oak Forest, Midlothian, Lansing, Posen, Crestwood, Thornton, and Calumet City.
To qualify, applicants must live in a single-family home that is at least 30 years old, and household income must be 80% Area Median Income or lower.
