Village of Lansing to host Shredding Event

LANSING, Ill. (October 20, 2019) – The Village of Lansing will be hosting their third annual Shredding Event at the Lansing Municipal Center parking lot on Saturday, October 26, from 9:00am to 11:00am. Lansing residents who are interested in having personal and confidential documents professionally shredded may bring up to three boxes of documents.

Documents for shredding can include staples, paper clips, binder clips, hanging file folders, manila folders, and spiral notebooks. Paper that is wet or moldy cannot be accepted. Also, no combustible materials, office equipment, electronics, plastics, or non-paper items will be accepted.

The Lansing Municipal Center (Village Hall) is located at 3141 Ridge Road, and shredding participants are asked to use the Burnham Avenue entrance to the south parking lot.

The Shredding Event is free and exclusive to Lansing residents. Vehicles must have current village stickers for proof of residency.

The Shredding Event sponsors are Homewood Disposal Service and Robinson Engineering.
