Daniel B. Bishko, age 93, of Marysville, Ohio, formerly of Lansing and Chicago, Illinois, died Sunday, November 10, 2019, at his home.
He was a former salesman for the Standard Oil Company and was also a past employee of Inland Steel. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Pacific Theater during WWII and was a member of VFW Posts in Lansing and Marysville. A longtime member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lansing, he became a member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Marysville. He loved woodworking, gardening, and socializing with friends.
He was born July 5, 1926, in Chicago to the late Michael and Anna Kodis Bishko. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hansen Bishko; and his siblings. He is survived by a son, Michael Bishko of Port Orange, Florida; a daughter, Susan (David) Ramey of Marysville; his grandchildren, Amber, Michelle, Abigail, and Daniel; a great-granddaughter, Kaila; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00pm, Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home in Lansing. A chapel committal service will be held 11:00am Monday, November 18, 2019, at St. Casimir’s Cemetery in Chicago. Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville, Ohio is assisting the family.
