LPD responds to shots fired

information provided by the Lansing Police Department

LANSING, Ill. (November 25, 2019) – On November 24, 2019, at approximately 7:20pm, the Lansing Police Department received multiple calls for shots fired in the parking lot of 2142 175th Street.

As officers responded to the scene, the Lansing Police Department received a call from one of the victims who had pulled into the American Sales parking lot. Officers located two adult male victims that sustained gunshot wounds to their bodies. Both subjects were treated by Lansing Paramedics and transported to area hospitals. One of the victims was transported to Munster Community Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released. The second victim was transported to Franciscan Health Hammond where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Lansing Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, along with the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force, will be investigating this incident.
