LACE presents donation to Lansing police and fire departments

LANSING, Ill. (February 6, 2020) – The Lansing Association for Community Events (LACE) presented the Lansing Police and Fire Departments with donations during Tuesday night’s Village Board meeting.

“We’d like to make a presentation to the police chief and the fire chief, in the amount of checks of $1,200 to be spent at your discretion,” said 2019 LACE Chairman Dan Centracchio as he handed Police Chief Dennis Murrin and Fire Chief Chad Kooyenga the donations.

Centracchio referenced the funds received at the 2019 pancake breakfast—sponsored by the Lansing Copper Muggers—as the source of the donation. The successful pancake breakfast took place during a Lansing Autumnfest that was otherwise plagued by poor weather and low turnout.

Chief Murrin and Chief Kooyenga shook the hands of all LACE members present to show their thanks.
