MUNSTER, Ind. (June 25, 2020) – Indiana Governor Holcomb’s announced “phases for reopening” directive about gathering size guidelines has prompted Theatre at the Center (TATC) to cancel its scheduled August Special Events concerts.

The August 21 VoicePlay concert and both tribute concerts to Patsy Cline on August 22 have been canceled.

Once box office staff are able to return to operations, TATC representatives will contact all patrons to make arrangements regarding previously purchased ticket transactions and season subscription updates. Patrons do not need to contact the box office; in fact, the box office has temporarily suspended operations until the Center for Visual and Performing Arts building is fully reopened. A special TATC hotline—219-836-3395—has been set up for urgent questions, and messages can be left there, but patience is requested.

TATC marked its 30th Anniversary Season in 2020. Throughout the uncertainties of this year they have expressed gratitude to all patrons for their support and patience. As a nonprofit organization, TATC is asking ticket holders if they would like to convert the value of previously purchased tickets to any canceled concerts and performances to a tax-deductible donation to help offset the significant loss of revenue during their temporary closure. Once business hours resume, box office staff will also be able to issue gift certificates in the amount of ticket purchases, valid for any future performances.

Food service operations as provided by Chef Joe Trama and Trama Catering at the CVPA have temporarily changed to a new Sunday carry-out weekly menu available in place of the weekly Sunday Champagne Brunch seatings, which have been temporarily suspended. Dining events and food service questions, as well as scheduling a tour of the building for potential future event bookings, can be directed to Trama Catering at 219-836-1930, x2. CVPA Event Planner Christine DalleCarbonare is also available via email: [email protected].

Patrons and guests should continue to visit www.TheatreAtTheCenter.com and www.CVPA.org for further developments.

The South Shore Arts Gift Shop, lobby atrium gallery, and main art gallery have reopened with temporarily adjusted hours— 10:00am to 2:00pm, Monday–Friday. Questions about The Northwest Indiana Symphony performances or South Shore Arts classes and events may be directed to South Shore Arts: 219-836-1839.

Theatre at the Center and South Shore Arts are located within The Center for Visual and Performing Arts at 1040 Ridge Road in Munster, Indiana.
