CROWN POINT, Ind., and LANSING, Ill. (June 26, 2020) – “Hosting an event on such a beautiful course may add a little slice of sunlight…into unprecedented times,” said Ernie Gonzalez, Executive Director of LARC, about the 2020 Annual Golf Outing. “LARC on the Links,” scheduled for Friday, August 14, will raise funds to help serve more than 100 clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event will be hosted by Youche Country Club in Crown Point, Indiana.

Gonzalez believes the outing will not only help support LARC operations, but also provide supporters with a much-needed break. “We look forward to a fun-filled and safe day to help support individuals with disabilities,” he said, “and provide our golfers some time to divert their attention away from the stresses happening in their lives.”

Registration begins at 11:00am on August 14, and a shotgun start is at 12:30pm. The event features 18 holes of golf, lunch, games, contests, and complimentary select refreshments on the course. A recognition banquet following the scramble is also included. This year’s event features over $30,000 in hole-in-one prizes.

Given concerns over COVID-19, LARC representatives assure participants that there will be plenty of room for social-distancing. The dining room will be set up to accommodate 15 tables of six. Individuals may also find seating in the bar area or outdoors on the patio.

Golf-dinner packages are $150 per person. Dinner-only guests are $50 per person.

Sponsorship opportunities range in price from $150 to $3,500. Smaller sponsorship packages include hole signage, and larger packages include complimentary foursomes and additional dinner guests. In-kind donations—such as gift cards and gift certificates from area restaurants and businesses—will help to provide additional raffle revenue at the event.

Sponsorships as well as golf and dinner reservations are due by Friday, July 31.

To register or become a sponsor, contact the LARC Development Office directly at 708-474-1540.
