Lakeshore Community Concerts logoMUNSTER, Ind. (July 20, 2020) – At a Board meeting held on Monday, July 13, 2020, Lakeshore Community Concerts decided to cancel their 2020-2021 concert season.

“It was not a decision we made lightly,” said Carolyn Borchardt, the new president of Lakeshore Community Concerts, “but after surveying our subscribers and finding that they overwhelmingly wanted to cancel the season, we decided to cancel.” COVID-19 presents a serious risk for Lakeshore subscribers, many of whom are in the demographic most threatened by the virus.

Last year’s concert season included performances by pianist/comedian Jason Lyle Black, string/vocal quartet Sons of Serendip, vocalists Shades of Bublé, jazz man Rob Verde, Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan, Classical Crossover group Vox Fortura, musical production Vocal Trash, and sibling harmonizers Derik Nelson & Family.

The association hopes to be able to offer a 2021-2022 concert season. Their goal is to provide good music and entertainment at an affordable price for the community of Northwest Indiana and the surrounding areas.
