LANSING, Ill. (August 20, 2020) – Registration is now open for digital Lansing Library Cards. Residents that already have a Lansing Library card do not need to register, as they already have access to the Library’s collection of eBooks, eAudio, eMagazines, streaming video, and Online Resources. A list of resources is available at www.lansingpl.org/databases
Those currently without a card can now register for access to digital materials. Upon registration, registrants will receive an email with instructions on how to set up a PIN for access to the online resources. The digital card is good for 90 days. Digital card-holders must visit the library with proof of residency to upgrade their card to continue online access and be able to check out books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, or use the public computers. Lansing residents age 13 and older may register online.
Glenwood-Lynwood residents age 13 and older may register online to access the Glenwood-Lynwood Library District resources.
“We hope that students and adults will take advantage of this opportunity. This makes it a bit easier to get a library card during this time of the COVID-19 virus. So get online and use those resources and come and see us soon to receive your full use card,” said Lansing Library Director Debbie Albrecht.
