Bloom Township to hold online property assessment appeal webinars

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (September 29, 2020) – Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak will be holding multiple property assessment appeal webinars for taxpayers seeking to appeal their 2020 property tax assessments.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional outreach seminars this year will be held online for the safety and convenience of the public and the Board of Review staff.

The webinars are sponsored by Bloom Township Assessor Nora Martinez-Gomez. The hour-long sessions will educate taxpayers on how to file a successful tax appeal and will provide information on property tax exemptions.

The webinars include a presentation by Commissioner Dan Patlak explaining the appeal procedure at the Board of Review. Analysts will be available online via chat to answer specific questions and concerns.

In Lansing, residents who live south of 186th Street are in Bloom Township.

The webinars are free to the public, and there is no fee to appeal at the Board of Review.

  • Thursday, October 15
    11:00 AM & 6:00PM

Taxpayers are encouraged to file an appeal online by visiting the Board of Review website: www.cookcountyboardofreview.com. Alternatively, paper appeal forms may also be picked up at the Board of Review located at 118 N. Clark Street-Room 601 in Chicago, Illinois.
