CANCELLED: Human Relations Commission meeting Thursday, Nov. 19

By Josh Bootsma

LANSING, Ill. (November 19, 2020) – The November 19 meeting of the Human Relations Commission has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. The meeting was to take place in the Courthouse within the Lansing Police Department. The HRC typically meets on the third Thursday of each month.

Ken Reynolds, Director of Communication for the Village of Lansing, said, “COVID-19 data will continue being monitored monthly for when these meetings may be able to resume.”

About the Human Relations Commission

The Human Relations Commission is an advisory body, not a decision-making body. They meet to discuss Lansing’s diverse citizenship and ideas for ensuring that all kinds of people feel welcome in community, business, and government. Their recommendations go to the Village Board of Trustees, who decide what actions to take.
