Rescheduled: Lan-Oak Park District Board meeting – 11/23/20

Meeting starts at 7 p.m. on Zoom

LANSING, Ill. (November 21, 2020) – The Lan-Oak Park District Board has been rescheduled for Monday, November 23 after the November 16 meeting was postponed due to COVID-19 safety concerns. The Board usually meets at the Eisenhower Community & Fitness Center, but cancelled its November 16 to “keep with [the Board’s] public safety priority,” according to Senior Superintendent Sharon Desjardins.

The rescheduled meeting will take place on Zoom at 7:00 p.m, and residents are welcome to attend virtually. The Zoom link to attend the meeting is https://zoom.us/j/97675587089.

About the Lan-Oak Park District

The Lan-Oak Park District is a separate governing body in the Village of Lansing whose Commissioners are elected to “enhance the quality of life for all Lansing residents by providing clean, safe parks and well-developed recreational facilities in a wide range of recreational programs and activities for all ages” (Mission Statement). The Park District operates the Eisenhower Fitness Center and a wide variety of classes, programs, and events that take place in that building. Staff also maintain more than 20 parks in Lansing, including playgrounds, sports facilities, walking paths, and other amenities.
