Anna M. Brouwer, nee Vroom, age 89, life-time resident of Lansing, IL, went to her heavenly home on Monday, December 21, 2020. Beloved wife for 63 years of the late Harold R. Brouwer. Loving mother of  Kathie (Fred) Postma, Sharon (Albert) Van Wieren, Beverly (Robert) Feikens, Brenda (Edward) Wenerski, and Ann (the late Daniel) DeBoer. Grandmother of Michael Postma, Jason (Christine) Postma, Jessica (Kevin) Westerhoff, Nicholas (Mikaela)Van Wieren, Kimberly (James) Stephens, Eric (Holly) Feikens, Julie (Josh) Mullin, Amy (Jake) Heitman, Laura (James) Zandstra, Katie (Dan) Eenigenburg, Michele (Tonny) Sserwadda, and the late Joshua DeBoer.  Great-grandmother of 21. Dear sister of George (Connie) Vroom. Sister-in-law of John (Janice) Brouwer, Shirley (late Pete) Dyke, Evelyn (late Hank) Belgrave, late Jean (late Fred) Burns, late Preston (late Jean) Brouwer, and the late Lewis (late Florence) Brouwer. Kind aunt of many nephews and nieces.
Visitation Monday, December 28, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with Rev. Mark Prestriedge officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed at our Facebook page at https:/ww.facebook.com/SmitsFH. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL. Â Anna was a member of First Reformed Church in Lansing, a youth sponsor with her husband for many years, served on the banner committee, sang in choir, and worked at South Holland School District 150 for 21 years. She enjoyed gardening and creative sewing. Memorial contributions may be given to Joshua Daniel DeBoer Scholarship Fund at Illiana Christian High School.
