December print issue summarizes local impacts of a strange and difficult year

by Melanie Jongsma, Managing Editor

LANSING, Ill. (December 28, 2020) – Right now, 2020 might not be a year you want to remember, but someday you may need proof of all the things that happened in a single year! In our community we saw creative ways of doing church and school, neighbors checking on each other, businesses closing and new businesses opening, civilized protests in Lansing and South Holland, exorbitant tax spikes, changes in leadership, and so much other important news.

The menu bar at the top of our site includes a Search field (click on the magnifying glass) and a “News by Category” menu to make stories easy to find.
Those events have been documented by our hardworking, deep-diving journalists, and you can access them on our website anytime.

If you want a printed copy for your personal archives, we can provide that as well, while we still have some available.

Most Lansing residents received a printed copy of The Lansing Journal in early December, hand delivered to their porches the week after Thanksgiving. But maybe you didn’t keep yours. Or maybe you want some extras to give to your kids or grandkids. Or maybe you don’t live in Lansing, so you didn’t receive the December issue when it was first delivered.
