Candidates: Information Forms are due by January 31

By Josh Bootsma

LANSING, Ill. (January 26, 2021) – On April 6, Lansing residents will go to the polls to elect their representatives—not at the national or state level, but at the local level.

These biennial elections impact local life. This year’s election will include local school board members, for example, who make decisions on how best to learn in a COVID environment. The April 6 ballot will include Village trustees, who make budget decisions and decide which new businesses should be awarded tax incentives. Other positions on the ballot include the Lan-Oak Park Board, the Lansing Public Library Board, the South Suburban College Board, Township representatives, and others.
