Obituary: Kenneth King

May 24, 1929 – February 7, 2021

Kenneth King, age 91 of Lansing, Illinois passed away peacefully Sunday, February 7, 2021. He is survived by his beloved wife Josephine (nee Trencan). Loving father of Robert (Anne) King, Kenneth (Louise) King, Daniel (Oleda) King, Roxane (John) Gunser, and Mark King. Cherished grandfather of Heather Moore, Eric King, Jason King, Matthew King, Sarah King and Alexandra King and great grandfather of Vincent Moore, Emilia Moore, Scarlet King and Niko King. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews and sister Joyce (late Victor) Adam. Kenneth was preceded in death by his loving parents John and Cora (nee Becker) King. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services for Kenneth will be private.

Kenneth worked at International Harvester West Pullman Works as chief of payroll for many years. He enjoyed and took great pride in his flower garden and taking care of his yard. You could always find Kenneth outside enjoying the day. He proudly served in the United States Army and fought for our country in the Korean War. Kenneth and Josephine enjoyed traveling out West and had many beautiful memories over the years. He especially loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mr. King’s care. Memorial donations may be made in Kenneth’s name to the Vitas Hospice Healthcare of Illinois.
