Local artists invited to apply for art show at August 25 ‘Friday Night Lights’ at Fox Pointe

LANSING, Ill. (August 8, 2023) – The final Friday Night Lights event at Fox Pointe this summer will include an added artistic flair. The August 25 event will highlight up to 20 local artists who will have the chance to display and sell their work.

“Artists who create original, handmade arts and crafts are invited to apply to participate,” said a Village press release.

Artists will receive a 10’x10′ display space. If accepted, artists will need to pay $45 for inclusion in the event. Applications are available here.

Friday Night Lights is a paid concert series that has debuted this summer, and features two headline bands for a $10 entrance fee. The pair of bands performing on Friday, August 25 are Bee Gees tribute band The Brothers Gibb and Eagles tribute band One of These Nights.

Gates will be open from 6 – 10:30 p.m., with The Brothers Gibb taking the stage at 7, and One of These Nights performing at 9.

As part of the application, artists must submit three digital samples of their professional work to be considered.

“We hope to make this last ticketed concert extra special with both music and visual experiences for our attendees,” said Donna Stuckert, Village of Lansing director of communications. “It will be a great way to end the series for the year.”

Patrons can purchase tickets ahead of time at foxpointe.org/tickets.

Fox Pointe is located at 18138 Henry Street in Lansing.
